Mohamed Shaheen, a local Maldivian, has dedicated 20 years to the diving industry, building a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Maldives' stunning underwater world. Starting his journey as a compressor attendant at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, he quickly progressed through the ranks, earning his certifications and gaining invaluable hands-on experience. His passion for diving led him to become an SSI Advanced Open Water Instructor, and he now shares his expertise with guests at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi.

With specialties in deep diving and several other SSI courses, Shaheen takes pride in offering guests personalized experiences that highlight the beauty and wonder of the Maldives’ marine life. He finds great satisfaction in seeing his students' progress and knowing that divers leave with unforgettable memories. For Shaheen, working at Sun Diving is more than a job—it’s a dream come true.
